Romans 8:37-39
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Passion Translation - 37 Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and His demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!
Living the “More Than” Life
In my mind, I understand what it means to be a conqueror, for the most part.
Conquer:
to acquire by force of arms; win in war:
to overcome by force; subdue:
to gain, win, or obtain by effort, personal appeal,
to gain a victory over; surmount; master; overcome
· By definition a conqueror is one who does the above listed activities
What does it mean however, to be more than – a conqueror?
